Originally inspired by a dish-washing chimp turned viral YouTube sensation, Pete the Monkey was founded to raise money for the construction of the largest monkey reserve in Bolivia: JACJ CUISI. An environmentally responsible festival, profits generated from the event are donated to the Bolivian Community, CIWY, to help animals at risk of deforestation or trafficking.
Every Summer since 2012, we welcome thousands of revelers to the Normandy coast, transforming the sleepy fishing village of Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer into a carnival of sound and colour.
With music at our core, we curate an eclectic and thoroughly unique line-up, championing new and emerging artists and DJs from around the world, alongside established acts, as well as a huge array of performers, entertainers, and designers.
The definition of a fun, creative and immersive weekend, the festival is more than just a dance floor, festivalgoers can also get involved with a plethora of family friendly activities designed to connect you with fellow like-minded people - from art classes, theatre, and dance, to literary talks and even karaoke. Food is also a core component and the best food trucks from London and Paris are on hand to serve everyone’s favourite dishes.
For it’s 10th anniversary, the theme at play is part-ay ! Treasure hunts, Pass the parcels, and Pinata games will tickle festival goers of all the ages…. And with an ode to birthdays and birth in general, we plan to link up our original bond with the environment. The festival will offer a wide range of activities around creation, wellness and nature, as well as sensory experiences for the mind and the body, whether through outdoor yoga, naked sauna, or an array of talks and workshops on ecology..
